Amazon console is a web service for running queries on structured data. This service works in close conjunction with Amazon Elastic compute cloud (EC2 console). It provides the ability to process, store, and query data sets in the clouds. These services are designed to facilitate the developers in the easier and cost effective making of web-scale computing. With the help of batch put attributes, operation of the Amazon AWS console; can perform multiple operations in a single call. It gives you better throughput to saves trips and latencies.
When you have a large amount of data, it is recommended to operate in batch put attributes. In general, more operations results in more throughput. Amazon EC2 console services were built to enhance the massively parallel operations to get maximum performance and throughput. You can submit request serially, one after another, once the previous one completes. However, it is limited by request size restrictions. It helps you to improve the performance to distribute the data among different threads or processes that execute the AWS console in parallel.
The performance is proportional to the number of threads. However, the greater number of concurrent batch put attributes result in a service’s unavailable responses due to limited resources. The AWS management console combines these techniques with the exponential back off of algorithms. The parallel queries are independent of each other, and the pattern for execution is very similar. The application spawns multiple process and threads.
These are responsible for processing select calls against Amazon API console of simple DB independently. The additional interesting use for parallelizing queries involves in retrieving large number of pages used for a single query expression. However, by splitting the search range into different segments, parallelization across these segments is possible. It is a great source for building high performance.
