This is a very good question. As it is important to know the first basic steps before you enter the world of AWS.

I would rate them as

1) Register with AWS

2) Register for the service

3) Install AWS CLI or get familiar with AWS Console

4) Launch an Instance

There are so many resources available on the AWS website.

Thanks Taral. Through this forum I also came across Newvem’s collection of resources.

Newvem too has lots of good resources to learn AWS like How To Guides & articles
