AWS is a pay as you go model where it charges for most of the resources based on your usage.

If I take a few important services of AWS

AWS EC2 : Charged hourly basis for instance running but based on instance size and OS the charges are different. Also costs for data output.

AWS EBS  & S3 : Charged based on storage as well data i/O

AWS Load balancer : Charged hourly basis plus for Data I/O

Auto Scaling, ElasticBeanStalk, VPC are some of the few services from AWS.

To estimate your AWS usage, user AWS Simple Monthly Calculator.

Also go to AWS Economics to know more about Cost optimization.
