Should I buy a Reserved Instance?

AWS Reserved Instance (RI) is a cost effective solution when you are going to use AWS for more than 3000 hours for a day.

Refer to Newvem article on saving cost with Reserved Instance . AWS also allows to sell the unused Reserved Instance capacity which is also a plus when the user decides to not use RI any more.

Also refer a video on consistent level of RI usage

The another advantage is AWS keeps decreasing price of RI along with on-demand instance. So for the production use RI is a suitable option.
